The Rest of Summer 2018
Hello, and welcome to August's blog post! We'll be going over more activities we participated in this summer, like the LIFEWalk and the Oakland County Fair's Family Safety Day.
Gift of Life Michigan's LIFEWalk
In July, we volunteered at the annual LIFEWalk held in Belle Isle, Detroit. The LIFEWalk is a 5K walk/run and a 10K run that aims to encourage healthy living in members of the organ donation community. It's a great event with food, music, and other festivities. Here are some pictures!
Family Safety Day
Another event we participated in was the Oakland County Fair's Family Safety Day! We managed a table, and we talked to passer-by about organ donation/transplantation. The pictures are below.
Libraries For Life
Like last year, we also helped update Gift of Life's website, librariesforlife.org. A lot more libraries have signed up, including Troy High's very own media center, which is exciting! Be on the lookout for more information about that later.
