Hello everyone, and welcome to this month's blog post!

Gift of Life Volunteer Mentoring

This month, I was honored to be able to mentor a new Gift of Life volunteer, which was an awesome experience! Gift of Life reached out to me for some help with mentoring a new volunteer in talking to people about organ donation at the Secretary of State Branch Offices. I was happy to do that, because I've been doing it for over a year now. I wasn't able to stay for a full hour because I had other school activities By the time we finished, she had improved so much! I'm so glad I had the opportunity to do this, because we need more people like her to spread the word about organ donation.

A Hand Transplant in India!

Now this is an amazing story! "Asia’s first upper arm double hand transplant was conducted at the Amrita Institute of Medical Science (AIMS) here on Shreya Siddanagowda, a 19-year-old chemical engineering student of Manipal Institute of Technology, who lost both her hands in a road mishap last year." Here's the link for the entire story, and I've attached a picture from the article:

That's it for this month! Thanks for reading, and see you next time!
