A Pediatric Nephrologist @ Gift8Lives!
So on Tuesday February 26th, we brought in a pediatric nephrologist from DMC Children's Hospital, Dr. Amrish Jain, to speak to the club! It was fascinating learning about the causes and details of organ donation and transplantation in children. Because we had already had Ms. Costello speak about her experience with organ donation as an adult, learning about it from a pediatric perspective was eye-opening. Here are some pictures!
Health Equity Summit @ UofM
This past weekend, we attended the Health Equity High School Summit at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. It was a really great insight into the field of public health and what affects our healthcare system today! Furthermore, we met a lot of great people who came to learn about health equity at the summit.
